It’s time to begin your property search. You see a nice picture of a home and the description seems great. You schedule a showing and upon arrival, you notice that the property is located at the corner of a heavily traveled road. You no longer have interest and are frustrated that you neither asked nor were told about this location. Your time spent here could have been spent at other properties that better match your criteria.

This is a common experience, so do not think that it only happens to you. When you search for a car, you think beforehand of what you want……black Lexus, 4 door Sedan with CD player, sun-roof and great mileage. You will search for cars that meet these criteria and you will research and ask sales agents the appropriate questions before traveling to that dealership. Why not use the same approach when buying your biggest investment.

Many buyers say, “I want a single family in the following areas.” Great…..that should narrow your search to hundreds of homes. Do want to tour hundreds of homes before finding just the right 1 home? There are many criteria to consider when creating your search and there are many important factors to understand that may affect your decision.
